Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: Mirrored Milling(backwards text) Mach 3
« on: March 24, 2010, 09:26:44 PM »
so I checked  my homing/limits setting and two of my axes are marked as reversed the third is is not checked. x and z are reversed (x is left to right and z is up down) the third is y(which is towards and away).  All the axes move correctly when i am manually moving them. If I hold left on the keyboard the mill moves left, if I hit up the y axis moves up, so on and so forth. Is there any other setting that could be incorrect or should I have the y axis run backward(if I push up it would move away)?
Thanks.

General Mach Discussion / "stuck" Motor
« on: February 16, 2010, 09:04:31 PM »
I am in the process of setting up my mill and my x-axis seems to be getting "stuck"

My hardware is a desktop pc with windows xp pro, Mach 3

hobby cnc pro board with the 305oz stepper motors.

when working with my x-axis in step mode(Diagnostics->Jog Mode) the motor will move very smoothly with no problems. But when the jog mode is set to Cont. the motor will move a tiny bit then get stuck. If any more information in needed please let me know. The motor is also having the same issue when I have been trying to set up steps per unit. It will also get stuck with no load on the motor
Thanks
