General Mach Discussion / Re: Cambam / gMax

I prefer to use an AutoLISP program to convert the splines into polylines. This gives more control over the # of segments you'll end up with, allowing for smoother "curves" then what you can get when saving as .v12 dxf (which converts splines to  polylines during export).

Gerry, Where can I find a copy of this LISP script? Looks interesting.

Thanks

If you have the serial number and the model of the machine Fanuc USA or the OEM builder might/should be able to supply you with the ladder and original parameters. You just need to find someone with FapLadder programming software, edit it if need be and some means to reload it, Serial port or Media card. If Fanuc ever worked on the machine they do make a copy of them, the Machine tool builder would be the best source though. Other than that I'd say SOL, way too many variables that need to be addressed. You could get a similar ladder and parameters but the chances of being the same are Not good.

Thought you or others might be interested in a program I wrote several years ago for my needs when it came to editing code for my lathe routines. Written in Visual Basic so you might have to have a VB dll file to run on some older PC's

Think your labeling is backwards on the 2nd drawing, if I understand your logic.
