Post Processors / Re: Mastercam 2017 Post Processor
« on: October 20, 2017, 11:22:39 AM »
The UpdatePost.dll seemed to work properly and did this for both the sharedMcam2017\Posts and sharedMcam2017\Posts\Mill folders. Not sure what you mean by "put the post into your machine definition". If this is under the Machine tab in MC2017, I show nothing for for the Boss control.
Would you mind posting a more detailed procedure for those of us computer challenged.
Thanks much.

Feature Requests / Mach3 Elapsed Timer
« on: June 25, 2013, 08:47:46 AM »
Running the latest lockdown version of Mach3.

Have been commissioning a mill with new servo drives and having periodic faults causing Mach3 to stop while running a test program which could be minutes or hours. When Mach drops out, the elapsed time counter keeps counting and if away, I have no way of knowing how long the machine ran before faulting.

Would sure be nice if the timer would only count while a program was running. Any chance this could be changed?

Thanks,
Claude

Running XP Pro, service pack 3, Mach3 mill, Mach3 R3.043.066

Sometimes when trying to load the General Config screen, that screen never displays and Mach freezes. Then trying to either shut down or restart windows, windows gets to the "Shutting Down" screen and never completes. Never had this problem with Windows until the Mach freeze. At that point I have to unplug the computer to get windows up again.

Is there somewhere I can download an older version of Mach3? Maybe a year old as the previous version I had on the machine never gave a minutes trouble.

Thanks

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Mach 3 G codes

Does anyone have a Mach 3 Lathe G code list which hopefully includes how they operate with Mach 3?
TIA,
Claude

Version X3
Finally found where they are stored after some time reading the reference manual. Not the easiest procedure to change the postprocessors.

Can not get the posted link to work.

Also,
If I download the Boss.txt and rename to Boss.pst, where do I put it in the MasterCam files so it can be used by MasterCam?
All the files I have checked relating to posts and machines do not have the .pst extension. If I select a .pst file in Mastercam I get an invalid file error.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Re: Need Documentation

Hi Randy,

Thanks for the tip but that buyer was me. Had no idea at the time this would turn into something so difficult.

Surely someone out there has some of these units.

Yes,
No hits on searching name, model number
Tried directory assistance for the listed city.
Thought someone might be using this drive and read the message.
Nice looking drive if I could just wire it up.

LazyCam (Beta) / Photo engraving
« on: February 24, 2009, 08:37:23 AM »
Brian and Art both indicated that LCam can do 3d photo engraving. Is there anyone out there willing to give me a tutorial on the process to get me started? I have the LCam license but have not had the time to get up to speed on it. I have watched the video tutorials but they don't seem to be directly related to what I am wanting to do.
TIA,
cem
