Put in G94 F 5.0, only got a feed rate of .03 i/min., but cleared the problem, program ran
Put in G94  F30.0 and things work fine.
 Thanks

There is no G95, in the code. How do you turn it off?

General Mach Discussion / Error message
« on: December 21, 2013, 01:07:54 PM »
I am using the Mach3 lathe , and am getting an error message, "F word missing with reverse time g1 move"
This does not happen, all the time, and never have it, when doing mill work. If i input a f 5.0 into code, it goes to next line, with same error code.
Is there a fix, for this problem?

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / 4 th Axis problem
« on: October 23, 2013, 04:10:02 PM »
I need to make some cams, for a project, and did the code in BobCAM-CAM, ver 24. using their 4th Axis Wrapping. The code looks fine, when you verify it, in BobCAD, but when I try to run it using Mach3, on a Taig 4 axis mill, the feed very move, with Feed set at 30 in/min.
This is the frist time I have used the 4th Axis.

 Code
G90 G54 X.5837 Y 0.
G01 Z.4151 F 4.843
X.3279 A186.382 F30.0

First two lines work fine, but X,A line, motor moves very slowly.
If I do the X, and A on different lines speed is good, but can not cut the part, that way.
Does any one have any idea of what is wrong?

General Mach Discussion / Lathe Config

I am running a Taig mill with  Mach3 mill, and it is running fine. I now have a CNC lathe, which I am running from the same control er, and stepper motors as the mill. The problem I am having is when I use Mach3 lathe the stepper motors only move the lathe X, and Z about 1/3 of the distance called for, in the code. The screen show it has move the distance called for. Any help for this problem?

Determined you can do what I want to do with BobCad, to take light cuts with the lathe, use to doing it in Mach3, on the mill, just take more steps, in BobCad.
Thanks

Yes, I want to turn a diameter on the lathe, taking about .005" per pass, till I get to the target size. With the mill, some parts take an hour or more to cut, but it keeps cutting till it runs out of steps. Would like the use a Wizzard, it can be set up to take light passes, but how did I get the Wizard to cut the part, I draw?
