With hall sensor you may not need any denounce.

I have done measurements on opto interruptors for clocks and Berth Boman for home switches.  See:

And I attach an article that I wrote for a horological publication.

Bottom line: Boman found they worked very well and my measurements confirm if you use the right type.

You don't have to set microstepping to its maximum - you won't get  the added precision you might expect.  With ballscrews I've found that the calculated resolution is what I get without additional calibration.

Not sure what you mean by "gcode program consisting of a quantity of 5".  Why is there a period in your G4 statement? Could you post your code?

I have to say that while I can see the toolpaths in Turn I'm far from convinced by them!  But it seems to work regardless!

You should start with the mach3 loader and select machturn rather than mill.

It looks neat but would be better if you didn't have to manually clip a wire on the tool each time.
