Tweakie,
I'm pretty sure I see the mistake(s), and the beers are certainly an acceptable excuse, but then I'll not be the one to spoil your party.   ;D
All the Best,

Jammer,
I'm not sure what you need to clean with the Dremel, but I use a watery paste of BonAmi pot scrubbing powder and a toothbrush to clean my Corian engravings.

General Mach Discussion / Re: LIMIT SWITCHES vs SPINDLE
« on: May 05, 2014, 05:34:19 AM »
Nick,
You might try putting .1uf ceramic capacitors between the limit switch inputs and ground at your BOB or driver connections.  I think capacitors are better than using debounce settings for electrical noise problems.

That is the width, in microseconds, of the pulse signals that Mach3 outputs to step and direction drives.

Your problem more likely Velocity and/or Acceleration is too high.

Try lowering both 25% and see if your problem clears up.

The Pulse setting of 5us are pretty common.

Have you tried the Corian yet?  It will engrave with extremely fine detail.  Should be perfect for a pattern.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Testing salvaged AC servos

Mihael,
Please stop and consider what you are doing.  I don't wish to be offensive, but your post exhibits a near complete lack of electrical knowledge, and the voltages you are contemplating can be lethal.  I hope you will do a lot more studying before you start connecting any thing electrical.

With respect and concern for your safety and health,
John Champlain

Sage advice, Tweakie.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Is this a suitable power supply
« on: April 21, 2014, 06:41:46 AM »
"The power supply voltage of 42 V and the output current of 4.5 A are the maximum values of operating range."

This quote is from the data sheet you referenced.  The 50V is not an operating voltage.  Stay safe, use 36v or 24v.

John Champlain

Well done, Scott.  I saw it yesterday. Congratulations.
