More info would be helpful to answering your question.  Are you wanting to cut slots, or drill deep?  Are you using a CAM program to generate gcode?

The height should be settable in your gcode generator program, or changed manually in the gcode file itself.

The time counter stops counting when the last of a gcode file is loaded into the buffer (I think), not when the last command is executed.

I am running it on Win7 64 bit with no problems.  Try right clicking it and select 'Run as administrator'.

Also check if you are running in exact stop mode (noisy) or CV mode (quiet and smooth).
