General Mach Discussion / Re: Homing
« on: October 06, 2010, 05:27:58 PM »
I found out with the Ajax plugin, it is supposed to homes to the switch, and then backs off untill it sees the encoder index. I can get x to home properly, but then it just sits there, and will not home y or z. Ajax doesn't have any ideas, except to reload Mach. I'm going to try that.

Hi,
What is it, and how are you going to use it?

I still haven't figured out the xml thing yet, but I think I know what's going on. I'm using an Ajax controller, and I think I have to use an Ajax plugin to run it.

Here's a thought. If I move the motor pulley a few notches in the belt, so it will make it to the switch, will that work?
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Anyone running an Ajax controller with Mach3?
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:51:12 PM »
I converted a Milltronics Pardner 4 to Ajax and I need some friends to talk with about it. It uses Mach3 with an Ajax plugin. The ajax documentation is real skechy, so I've been looking to the Mach3 forum for help. Now I'm finding the Ajax plugin doesn't work the same as the standard Mach3. I'm stuggling a little bit to sort it out. I'm hoping someone has run an Ajax controller and could give some tip on setup, like limits and homing. I almost have it up and running.
Thank you

When homing it goes to switch, reverses, starts to move, but wont't come all the way off the switch. How can I adjust this so it comes off the switch?
Thank you

OK, I'll get right on it.
Thanks

Yes, I don't know how to do that, but I will try.

What is the fix for that? I don't know what a screenset is.
