clavijin,
You should post your question here on the HiCON site of Mach Forum.

SEREGIUS,
I like your Laser very nice.
My Mill is small and although it can have much more Velocity and Accelerate but I found it best to have it less when machining Brass.
My Velocity = 1000mm/min
My Acceleration = 150mm/Sec^2

On Our Router we have Acceleration of 300mm/Sec^2 and Velocity of 4000mm/min, but currently we are still using CV with Mach3 on this machine.

For your Velocity and Acceleration you need to do Toolpath simulation to see what CV setting is best for your Laser.
Please provide your Velocity and Acceleration on your laser.
Regards,
Mauri.

AmitKumar171,
I paid the price as listed on the Website $595.
http://www.vitalsystem.com/portal/motion/hicon/hicon_integra/hicon_integra.php#
It depends if you buy more than I item or a combination of items.
Ask VitalSytems to give you a quote.

Mauri.

SEREGIUS,
The CV works perfectly with Mack4.
I have set all 180 angles to 100mm/min and have no issues in machining finishing cuts on Brass with .05mm Ballnose D-Bits on detailed 3D engravings.
We also use Tapered Ballnose down to .25mm Radius to produce a smooth cut.
I has no issues in engraving lettering down to 1mm.
I am not sure if you use Imperial or Metric.
You can Edit Machine.ini and replace all the Angle=0 to 100 if your are using Metric or an equivalent number if using imperial.
Its a balance between speed and the end result you want.
You can use the Toolpath to do your test making small lettering and if it displays an acceptable cut to you then you have set it to you desired setting.
Regards,
Mauri.

AmitKumar171,
Hi,
We are currently using a HiCON Integra - 6-Axis Step/Direction Ethernet Motion Controller (pn 7766) controller running with mach4 windows.
We made our own controller and set up 4 Axis plus an MPG directly connected to the HiCON and as well as a Spindle.
We decided that running 5 axis was going to take too long to machine the items we wanted in brass.
The HiCON and Mach4 allowed us the wire up a full set of button controls that fully emulated the Mach4 Screen controls.
The card is fully functional and works perfectly with fine engravings with Mach4 in 3 Axis.
We have not tested 4 axis but see no issue with the HiCON card in being able to perform this function (we are waiting for Mach4 to be able to did play a 4 axis toolpath, as yet it cannot do it).
The Firmware can handle Backlash and Fine increments with MPG and MDI.
We have no issues machining with runs that exceed 12 hours.
We have no problems using cutters down to .05mm Radius machining brass.
The documentation is very detailed and extensive and the support at VitalSystems is some of the best we have seen.
HiCON with its Firmware and Plugin are rock solid with the current release of Mach4.
It may cost a little more than some others, however this Card works out of the box.
I have no hesitation in fully recommending this card to anyone who wants to perform fine machining outcomes.
Regards,
Mauri.

Beerbatter,
Why did you not use the ModuleWorks Profile when you start Mach4?

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Mach4 V3390 now officially released

Cbyrdtopper,
I use the Control buttons on Mach4 Screen set and a duplicate set on our Controller.
Plus the MPG connected to the HiCON.

Cbyrdtopper,
I have never used they keyboard and actually remove the Plugins for it.
If there is an issue it is not related to HiCON, but purely that Keyboard plugin.
You may want to post this issue on the normal Mach4 forum.

Mauri.

Cbyrdtopper,
We increment fine with V3390 using all forms of movement including MPG and MDI on all axis.
We only use a minimum of .01mm.
You must not have correct settings.

Mauri.

HiCON Motion Controller / Re: Mach4 V3390 now officially released

Cbyrdtopper,
We have been running V3390 in Dev and since its Production release.
We have not homed this version so we cannot advise if you have an issue, however prior Dev versions and V3233 worked OK.
There is no issue with the spindle on V3390 each machining process has worked fine to start, set the speed and stop the spindle.
We have been machining on our Mill from roughing to finishing cuts lasting over 12 hours per run.
The only issue which has come up is it sometimes produces a Buffer Mismatch, but this was more prominent on prior versions.
We have been provided with a fix for this and are waiting for a machining period to try it.
V3233 had a lot of bugs, so I would stick to V3390.
Regards,
Mauri.
