In the process of fighting viruses, Microsoft has built all 64 bit versions
of Windows, and also all versions of Windows 8 and later, with security
that does not allow direct access to the parallel port. This makes
it impossible for Mach4 or other applications that generate real time
signals to be able to use the parallel port properly.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Transfer from reseller ?

If you originally purchased from PMDX, please contact us directly. We now have
a process in place for transferring your license for self-management on the
license server.

Since your existing setup used a parallel port breakout board, you could also
consider a simple device like this:

Or if you are in Europe, as I suspect, you could buy this from the EU:

That is exactly why you should use a Packaged Profile. It saves everything, including Lua scripts,
screen edits, and so on.

.... and as Bob said, be sure to create a profile with your own name so it does not get overwritten
when you update. The standard examples get overwritten at install time.

You mention XML files, whereas Mach4 uses profiles that contain INI files among others.

There is more to a Mach4 environment than just the INI file. It is better to generate a
Package Profile (see Help > Support > Packaged Profile), and then use the Mach4 Loader
to import the profile.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: How to update Mach4 builds?
« on: October 20, 2016, 11:38:18 AM »
If you installed build 3206 and run your old profile, you are probably still
running the old screen set, with its old probing routines.

Try using View > Load Screen > .. and select wx4.set to make sure
you have the current screen set.

Yeah.... videos for using Mach4.

I hope this is the first of many!

For me the audio level is a bit low, but the voicing is good.

Wow! A continually shrinking button. Stephen is going to love that!

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach 4 V2 Windows 10

If you have Windows 10 Home you can somewhat limit it if you connect to the net
using WiFi and tell Windows that it is a "metered" connection. Unfortunately this
currently does not work for a wired connection.

Actually neither the G250X nor the G251X are opto-isolated or have have output protection.

The only difference between them is the mounting plate and connectors.

I think it's the G250s that are not opt isolated unless I'm mistaken.
