Thanks Hood
what i want to do is operate a keyboard at the other end of my machine
10 ft away from my controller.
this is a woodworking router
so i need to be able to operate the start and hold from there
dont want to have to run back to the controller
so i need to do this from the keyboard
i have a long  cable for my keyboard.
on this keyboard i can jog and use the up down keys
but not the cycle start and feed hold
not sure how to set this up
thanks again

General Mach Discussion / keygrabber help
« on: October 18, 2012, 09:00:14 AM »
I have a wireless Targus keypad   i use the arrow keys to move the x,y,and z axis   this is without having to use anytype of geygrabber  [works great]
what i now need to add is the cycle start stop and feed hold     this is where i need help in setting this up
i have right click on my mach3 shortcut and insert c:\mach3\keygrabber.exe/pmach3mill
and that works.
now where do i go from there?
the cycle start stop and feed hold  is the only keys i need to add.
also is there a amplifer that i can add to increase the range of my targus keypad?
as i will be working on both ends of my 4x8 ft table.

thanks paul

General Mach Discussion / Re: cutting uniform mortise in wood
« on: February 07, 2012, 12:45:03 PM »
yes hood that is the problem.
the problem seem to happen when the bit goes around the corners
so i am not getting a clean rectangle.
i seem to have this problem anytime i am cutting out a small area.
if i was cutting out a 12x12 area its ok.
it seem as if as the bit picks up speed on the 1 inch side it then suddenly does int the curve  and that is what cause the problem.
thanks again paul
my backlash is set to 20 percent

« on: September 29, 2011, 08:54:24 PM »
this is something i always wondered about.
lets say my hard drive crashed and i reinstalled mach3
and i had my settings saved.
can i just drag these settings into mach3/
or do i have to delete the xml folder that came with the new installation
then place my saved setting in its place?
