General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 Gcode movement help
« on: September 25, 2020, 07:00:56 PM »
Thanks for your reply.
I found out the cause of the problem.   it was the mach3 cycle start   for all the years i been using Mach3 i only needed to press the cycle start button once to get the file cutting.  just by accident or frustration i press  the cycle start twice and the file started cutting.
Pressing once just started the timer going.
not sure why   any idea why?

« on: February 13, 2020, 03:37:43 PM »

few days ago moving x axis using key board arrow keys.
x will only move in one direction. makes no difference if i use plus or minus  key board arrows. both arrows take it to the - side
shutting down andstarting up correct the problem.
but it keep coming back.
running a file today machine made a sudden stop x started moving in the opposite direction about an inch then corrected itself.
any ideas?

General Mach Discussion / Re: z zero plate problem
« on: February 10, 2018, 06:53:48 PM »
Today i went to the machine the bit was 2 inches over the work.  I started to zero the bit the bit again went up instead of down.
i took the zero plate from the material and touch the bit.  it stopped moving.
I then moved the bit back down to about 2 inches and zero again. it worked  did this a few times in diff positions and it worked correct
correct in that once the bit touch the plate it retracted to the correct set position
this is the first time i have been having this problem having been running mach3 for the past 7 years
about 3 months ago my computer broke down  so this is a new installation  i suspect this is when the problem started
I am using a PMDX-122 break- out -board
running a shopbot cnc
I do not have in-depth  knowledge of mach 3    but it does what i need
Thanks again  Paul

I am using an older IBM computer running xp   this works great with no problems  my fear is that one day it would stop working
i am setting up another computer running window 7.
I made a copy of my mach3 folder    what i need to know can i just post the copy i made straight into the new mach3 download?
or do i have to paste it into a specific file .
does the xml file on the new installation have to be removed first.
thanks paul

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 tablet controller
« on: September 03, 2015, 09:40:00 AM »
thanks for the info  the tablet that i own is an android tablet.   i am also thinking to just purchase a mach3 wireless pendant .
not sure what model will suit my needs   I own a shopbot cnc running mach3    the pendant will have to have a range of about 20 feet.
As there are a few models online.  I need some help to go about getting the correct one.   I need to be able to jog XYZ axis also to
to stop and start run.  getting back to the tablet i tried this link .       http://www.cnc-valmec.it/     and its what i was looking for but was unable to download the file  believe the link is not working.
Regards Paul
