I'm Sorry!! Duh   I'm using LazyCam. I have only been at this CNC stuff for 3 days now so go easy on the greenhorn!

Hi, Steve

CW and CCW can get confused in the Cam packages sometimes, What are you using to generate your G code files ?

I just did it again and heres what happened.

Left the pocket as CCW. Simulated in mach3 the pocket cuts CW and the offset cuts CW.

Changed pocket to CW. The pocket cut from in2out CW then cut out2in CCW and the offset cut CW.

Deleted the offset that the pocket created and created a new offset. The pocket cut CW and the Offset cut CCW.

Is this a bug in the program? If so, what is the secret to cut a pocket CCW?

Is it possible to edit a pocket? I created 5 pockets and 5 offsets and swear i clicked to cut CCW. Well the cutter is cutting CW and i would like to go back and check what i did. Can I edit a pocket or will i have to delete it and recreate it?

Hello all!

My name is Steve Huck. I am from the detroit area. My interests are mostly in the model engine area. I have a few compressed air engines that i have built including my Micro V8. I have started a few internal combustion engines but have not completed one yet.

Thanks to the help and wisdom of "Cheap and Free Rick" Chownyk I wound up building a CNC mill using a cheap compound drilling table. Ball screwed the table and built the Z axis from scraps in the garage. The R8 spindle was donated by a friend who had a few and the rails and trucks were donated by a relative who ordered them for a job that was changed enough where they were not useful. I need to get 2 more pulleys to drive the spindle and shorten the drawbar and I should be able to make parts. I plan to cut some foam untill i get the hang if this stuff. I also plan to make a high speed spindle for engraving duty.

Now you guy's will be stuck with me and my many questions until i get a handel on this LazyCam and Gcode stuff!

Cheers!

Steve
