« on: August 31, 2009, 11:12:57 AM »
On my shop computer I have Mach3 Version 2.0.062 (Works fine).  Now I see there is Version 3.042.029, can Install it or should I uninstall my Version 2.0.062 firstr?  thanks, Ray

Thanks Ray L.  I will do that.  This version has LazyCam as a seperate installation.  The one I have on my laptop in the shop (also XP) must be an earlier version. (I haven't looked yet).  Ray

I just downloaded Mach3 off the website onto a desktop computer with XP and 512 Memory.  Every tap file I run  shows up on the display as a dot in the middle of the display and you can not see the movement as the gcode cycles.  Did I do something wrong?  ray

Thr file I wanted to convert is a Harley Davidson logo GIF I downloaded.  I wanted to make it a DXF, put it into TurboCAD 16 Deluxe, resize it and change it to gcode in Mach3.  GIF attached I hope.  Ray

Thanks vmax549 and Rich.  I downloaded 5 different Rastor to Vector programs but none did a good enough job making a usable DXF.  Using my CAD to insert the file and changing to DXF dosen't work.  I may have to give up the idea.  Thanks again for your assistance.  Ray

Is it possible to take a GIF, BMP or JPEG and convert it to DFX to use with Mach3?  I have been trying to find a file converter that would make that conversion but haven't found one.  Thanks, Ray

Thanks again to all those that tried to help me on my Tool Offset post.  I thought I had it but I really didn't so I ordered a couple of books to study.  Has anyone read them?  CNC Basics & Tutorial Textbook and CNC Programming Principles & Applications
