« on: September 19, 2009, 12:35:10 PM »
Can some one please make Gcode from this drawing to make the plate?  I will certainly appreciate it.  They are absolute values from Point 0,0..  I don't know if the arc would be I,J moves or Radius moves .  Thank you so much.  Ray

I just downloaded Mach3 off the website onto a desktop computer with XP and 512 Memory.  Every tap file I run  shows up on the display as a dot in the middle of the display and you can not see the movement as the gcode cycles.  Did I do something wrong?  ray

Is it possible to take a GIF, BMP or JPEG and convert it to DFX to use with Mach3?  I have been trying to find a file converter that would make that conversion but haven't found one.  Thanks, Ray

Thanks again to all those that tried to help me on my Tool Offset post.  I thought I had it but I really didn't so I ordered a couple of books to study.  Has anyone read them?  CNC Basics & Tutorial Textbook and CNC Programming Principles & Applications

General Mach Discussion / Motor Config-Mach3
« on: August 01, 2009, 02:27:05 PM »
Hello all, Not sure what my leadscrews are on my Harbor Freight Micro Mill.  I want to set Steps per Unit in Motor Config.  I have a Xylotex 3 Axis system with 269 Oz. steppers, 1/8th Stepand 200 steps per whatever.  For some reason I had them set at 32,768.  I tell it to move 0.50 in X or Y and it moves a little over 9/16.  Can I lower the 32,768 to something else and get better accuracy?  Thank you,  Ray
