I have gone from 1-2000 on the debounce in intervals of 5 on the low end
50 as I got past a few hundered.and it had no effect.

Did you resolve this by using J20? Can you explain what you did as I,m sure
this might be what I am experiencing with my machine.My actual speed DRO
is going crazy .I have a bob campbell  board and a cnc4pc index pulse card.
My disk is about 3.5" and my slot is 1/2 in width.All my wires are sheilded.
The output on the scope shows a nice pulse right up to 3600 rpm , max speed.

how can you tell if it is noise?I have my true speed going all over the map.
I connected the scope to the output from the index card and the
signal looks ok?

Why in the name of God did they change the old format.
I have downloaded the program you specified Whacko but nothing.
It found the file but only the url link.nothing saved.
Oh well I've wasted tooooooo much time on such a simple thing.Time to chuck it and carry on.

Thanks for the try Whacko but it is not even saving to my temp file.
all I can do is play it on line.I tried it with a laptop and same results .
I,m using xp on my main computer and the laptop is vista.The sad part is I had stored most of the tutorial files on
my kids computer but lost them all durring a hard drive fail.
I,m starting to get !!!!

how can I download the tutorials on one computer and save them to disk/memory stick and replay them out in the shop?
It used to work fine up to a few weeks ago and I saved some while building machine now
that the "sparks" are about to fly it would help to have as much info as possible.
