VB and the development of wizards / Re: Center Probe Wizard
« on: June 09, 2015, 08:45:23 AM »
Ok Guys,
Version 0.9.1
this will probable be the last installment of the Center Finder Wizard prior to Full Version Status.
I may, if requested, put a find over lip function if requested.
Please provide feedback of any bugs so I can resolve them prior to asking the Moderators to make this
a finished Wizard.

Mach3 under Vista / Re: Minimum PC requirements vs real life (Newbie)

Windows Xp is fine on an exposed lan if you have half decent firewall, your not doing online activities so exposure wouldn't be a risk. We still use Xp in Blue chip companies.Windows 7 32 Bit with 4GB ram UAC turned off is always good. Most commercial systems would have sufficient Video, however depending on what 3d rendering you are going to do on the machine(e.g. AutoCad, Inventor etc) your Video Ram may need upwards of 2-6GB with NVidia Watercooled systems and i7 Minimum with the possibility of Xeon Processors if you are really serious(HP Z Series Workstations is a good place to Start).
My Advice would be to NOT run anything other than the CNC solution on the CNC driving Machine otherwise you WILL run into problems with conflicting driver software etc.
I supply HP, Acer, IBM and Fujitsu business solutions for business and I have been down this road before. Its cheaper in the Long run to use two machines. Your ROI is better as well.

Just looking at it BR549 it looks like tool compensation is being turned of on the corners.
I think you might be right in thinking its in the GCode.

General Mach Discussion / Keypad as a Pendant - sort off
« on: June 05, 2015, 12:02:57 AM »
Hi Guys
just a little something I use for my machine. A Keypad!
I have altered the Std 1024 Screenset as I don't use speeds other then Manually changing them.
On an external Num Keypad I have setup / and * as my Rapid feed plus and minus
the Home and End Keys I use for Jog Feed rate and + and - for Normal feed rate(as set by GCode).
I have included some Photos and the 1024xtg set file I use.

Oh forgot to mention, the external currently resets all Values to Zero in the X and Y axis after probing, including the Probed vales. If this isn't what you like let me know and I'll put a button in to turn this behaviour on or off.

check if you are in inch mode or mm mode. may be all it is.
G21/G20 are the two modes.
Check under Config -> native units on the main menu in Mach3

OK New update. Beta Version 0.8
This one I have made some enhancements to the external centre finder.
Bit quicker and put some safety features in it to stop busting the probe if you don't get the dimensions right.
The Z down movement stops the program if it Touches out.

If have a new version to upload but for some reason it keeps telling me it already has been uploaded and refuses to allow it to happen. If an Admin or Mod could resolve this or delete the centrefinder0_7 maybe it will work.
