General Mach Discussion / how to add buttons using USB
« on: June 04, 2009, 02:13:53 PM »
I would like to add some jogging buttons, without using the printer port.
The computer only has USB ports. So is there a simple device I can buy to which I can connect a couple of keys?

General Mach Discussion / Re: mach3 screen looks bad
« on: June 04, 2009, 02:11:04 PM »
But the screen set I used is ment for 1024*768. And my screen has 1366*768. So that will fit (with a empty space right to the window as you can see).
So I guess I should not change anything at the Mach3 settings.

I assumed the Windows fontsize was set to default, but I checked again. It was large!

So, Thanks! This solved it.

General Mach Discussion / mach3 screen looks bad
« on: June 04, 2009, 01:28:06 PM »
Hello,

I try to run Mach3 on a Asus eee touch computer.
When running Mach3 with standard screen set, it looks awfull.
I think the attached picture speaks for ifself.

Labels are sometimes so big, that they do not fit in the space available for it.
It makes a lot af the labels unreadable.

Do I have to configure Window XP somehow?

General Mach Discussion / Re: softlimit disables moving after homing

But because of inaccuracy of the limit/home switch I think it is possible that after homing, the limit switch can go off at for instance 0.01 mm.
Therefore I want to stay away from the home position for about 0.5mm.

General Mach Discussion / softlimit disables moving after homing
« on: June 04, 2009, 07:12:14 AM »
I would like to use softlimits to prevent running into the limit switches.
I use softlimits to make the machine stop just a little before the limit switches, and I included a slow-zone.

The limit switch is also my home-switch.
The problem is that after homing the machine is still in the softlimitted region (because my softlimit is just a little before the limitswitch).
This mean that I can not jog to some other position, because the softlimit prevents me to move.

How to handle this?

Can I automatically move to some predefined location after homing (ignoring the softlimits)? So that I can move a little to be inside the region allowed by the softlimit.

Mach Screens / Font size problem
« on: May 28, 2009, 04:56:41 AM »
Hello

I'm trying to get mach3 running on an ASUS eee-touch computer.
I'm using just the standard Mill screen setup. The Screen resolution is 1366 x 768.

The problem is that the font size for some labels is to big so that is does not fit in the available space.
The text is cut off at the right and bottom sides.

You can see it in the picture below.
What can I do to solve this?
