Mach3 and G-Rex / G100 problem with 2 motors on Y axis
« on: July 06, 2009, 04:00:16 AM »
Hi
I have a portal milling machine with Y axis driven by two step motors on each side. If i call it home, or jog manualy, all works ok. Both motors run.
Problem starts when i run any gcode part program, then only one of motors moves, second one stays motionless

Hope you understand, my english is poor

Thanks

Jerry

General Mach Discussion / New version of probing plugin
« on: December 09, 2008, 12:19:34 PM »
Hello Everybody
I have downloaded new version of probing plugin from artofcnc.ca. I use tool for finding center of the hole only. I used some previous version of this, without any problem. I had to reinstall mach3, because of change of my computer.
But new version does not work. Probe touches 4 points inside the circle. Last one is in -Y direction. Then it should go to the center of the hole, but it continues in -Y direction. If I would use it seriously, not just for test, my probe would be broken.
Do you have any idea? Or do you have some older version of this plugin?

Thanks for any help

Mach SDK plugin questions and answers. / 3D Probing plugin help
« on: September 26, 2007, 04:50:15 AM »
Hi all
I tried this plugin and probe object function has worked ok, but finding center of  hole usually stops when probe hits the edge of hole. It is not always first hit, but i have only 50% chance to finish complete "hole scan". When i try other function with three points, i  make  touch in all 3 points, each is confirmed by point recorded statement in mach, but when  i try center or rotate 3points function, mach asks for points recording again. I do that again, but all repeats.

Thanks for any help

General Mach Discussion / Edge finding?
« on: August 14, 2007, 08:32:14 AM »
Hello all
Before i start with my problem, please excuse my poor english.
I am looking for some macro for probing in X and Y directions. I will get material with completed outside machining and I will need to mill some pockets and holes into that semi-finished product. So i search for some solution for finding its exact position. I do not think that i need complete digitizing. I just need to touch material once in x direction and then once in Y direction

Thanks for any help
