I know I have .005" /rev but would like to see it, I know the 5 is hiding behind the window, should I try another screen set?

when running in inch/rev the feedrate window only shows 2 decimal places so if I run at .005"/rev you can't see the 5 what gives..

General Mach Discussion / Special code for threading?
« on: January 21, 2013, 09:58:46 PM »
Using DSPMC, is there a special G code to sink the spindle and feed before threading or do I just leave it in g95, Rufi at at Vital systems with the DSPMC said you have to trigger an LED with a G code when threading then turn it off when finished...

dspMC/IP Motion Controller / g94/95 feed problem
« on: January 21, 2013, 09:17:48 PM »
In g94 inch/min in mdi I command g01 z1.f10. no problem, if I command g01 z1. and don't put a F command I get an error saying feed rate not commanded which is correct.
In G95 inch/rev start spindle and input g01 z1. f.010 and I get .010/rev no problem. Now if I input g01z1. and forget to put an F command the machine moves at about 50"/min to the postion and says "simulated feed no spindle feed back" Don't understand...where does this come from?

General Mach Discussion / Re: PoKeys 55/ external push button help

Thanks Hood I just might take you up on that but right now I need to get a few other things done like MPG's and spindle encoder for threading then I will see if I need ccw, I have never seen a CNC without a push buttons for cw & ccw, I would like to try the brains thingy out. So I can't use the momentary push buttons for spindle start or stop.

Just my luck, simple thing like cw/ccw spindle and I get into a can of worms, I guess I'm not using those buttons. Did find cw and rest THC height and ccw toggle, couldn't find spindle stop, at least that would have been usefull.

The push buttons are momentary, can't seem to find the code for spindle cw and spindle ccw.

It's been over a year and I think the penny has just dropped. I found it, system hot key setup and external triggers.

General Mach Discussion / PoKeys 55/ external push button help
« on: January 19, 2013, 03:40:50 PM »
It's been a year or so since I got my mill going and most of the functions I use on on the hand held MPG so I never used any external push buttons lick Cycle start feed hold etc. Now I have a lathe running on Mach3 and it does have some external buttons, cycle start feed hold, coolant on/off and I think I would like to use them. I do have some inputs left on my breakout board from vital systems DSPMC that I can use but don't have a clue how to emulate the cycle start externally. I also have PoKeys 55 USB board that I purchased about a year ago and don't have a clue what to do with that, my question is, does anybody know of any video's out there that I can watch or step by step instruction.
Thanks Ray.
