Thanks, As for the feed problems, it seems like if i choose the wrong pulley range and still run it that's a big no no.
No sync between feed or spindle in threading, going to try some more tests.
Is it OK to see the the feed DRo change part way through the threading cycle, can't say I can see actual change but it is about 20% less than programmed feed for a good portion of the thread.

Thanks Hood, I thought I was loosing my mind, had some funky thinks happening and you are right, I couldn't type in an offset, I thought it was my keyboard, still do. One minute am am using the keyboard arrows to jog ( don't ask about the RU Shuttle MPG from Russia) then the the keyboard arrows don't work, checked the hot keys, they seem OK, then I have to walk away, this thing sucked me in about a year ago on the mill and now it's doing it again, aaah

Ok, done more tests and it seems to be ok in a crazy sort of way. I noticed the 20% increase in spindle DRO but not the spindle so that's ok right, but I also noticed the pitch of .250 dropped to .207 which is about 20% go figure, and if you are threading for about 2." it stays at .207" for about 1.5" then goes up to .250" haven't checked the thread with a gauge yet just my vernier looks ok.
Rufi there is no way the acc/dec on this unit is 100ms in feed hold.

Hey Hood, I haven't tried a brain before so I pasted into C:/mach/brains and ticked the box in brains editor, hope that's right but it didn't make any difference + offset went - direction.

Thanks Hood, why would the wear offsets be backwards, + is moving away from the the parts and - towards.
Check this one out: simple move, g95 run spindle or not (go figure that one out) g01 z2. f.015"/rev machine moves and shows .015"/rev in feed window, press + one time to increase feed but it doesn't, then after about 5 seconds the screen shows 5.015 but the feed rate doesn't change.
I see the default feed rate is 6."/min and .6"/rev. if I have .01"/rev in my feed rate window and with no moves commanded I can increase and decrease but click would go up or down by 5, 5.01, 10.01. 15.01"/rev
Hard to explain but some weird stuff going on.
