Works in progress / Re: Refurbished standard screen
« on: April 18, 2009, 01:39:39 AM »
Here is some new buttons added. I'm not fully satisfied with the new buttons. It could have been a thad more gradual transition between the light green in the center and the darker green outside.

Mach Screens / Question on background of Box Leds
« on: April 17, 2009, 01:10:15 PM »
I have noticed the Box leds at the Soft Limits and the Machine Coord's button have a grey background, whereas the same Box Leds from the same bitmap file at the Offline and the Go To Z button is transparent in the center. This difference will be visible if the Box Led is a few pixels larger than the button inside and the background image is not gray where the Box Leds/Buttons is placed. I cant find where I define if the Box Led is going to be transparent/open in the center be "filled" with it's own background colour.

Any help is appreciated.

Here is a screen shot of Mach3 running with the refurbished main screen.

One more thing to do here is to make new some of the buttons. It's at least three different sized buttons under the axis DRO's. Have to make the button size and appearance more consistent.

Works in progress / Refurbished standard screen
« on: April 17, 2009, 07:53:41 AM »
I have refurbished the main screen in the standard mill screen set. I started with the original jpg file, increased the size slightly and vent over it completely. This did I in MS paint. Saved the file as a bmp. However the conversion to jpg in MS paint sucks big time. Horribly compression and lots of ghosts. I did the bmp to jpg conversion in irfanview. Much better results there.

Here is the main screen background and a zip containing the main screen background, a new run button and the set file.

I will probably refurbish the other screens also when I get time for it.

A very nice and clean screen set. I like your led buttons particularly well.

Actually, the main screen in the previous post was not the finished version. It has some minor faults some places. Here is the finished version. It looks like the file is being compressed somewhat when it reaches the forum as the file when read here is smaller than the file I upload.

Here is the new main screen. The background image for the main screen is finished for the time being. The original image is compressed with a lot of information loss. I re sized it, went over it completely, every single pixel, saved the new original in bmp which I have saved for further changes and converted it to a high quality jpg file.

I'm going to make some new buttons, more same sizes and do a slight reorganizing of the layout of the buttons.

Ahhh, maybe that's the problem. I have been drawing an updated main screen today on the same desktop. I ran the drivertest not long ago today. I'm not sure if I tried the jog speed afterwards. Now I know what to look out for!

Thank you thousand times Hood!  :)  :)

Yes, it was set at 60 when I copied the XML. I have changed the speed settings numerous times in a try to figure it out.

However now it suddenly works ???

I have noticed one thing though, when the jog speed was slow earlier today the "Time In Int" under the diagnostic <Alt-7> tab was at 0.0. Now when jogging is working as it should, the "Time In Int" is constantly varying between 2.7 and 3.7. I suppose something is wrong when it sits at 0.0 ??? What does this timer tells?

I have x-axis motor speed at 200, when jogging at 100% the feed rate DRO is at 33,6 and x-axis DRO is increasing aproximately 33 units per minute, took the time for control.
