General Mach Discussion / Re: Cant get CV led to turn off

Ahhh, I didn't see the Motion mode check box, only the CV control check box.

Thanks for your help  :)

I see the G61/G64 code in the Code line. New G codes load/unloads in this line only at start up of Mach3 it looks like. Don't know yet if this line updates as a G-code file is loaded.

I played around with a "square pocketing file". Zoomed in in the toolpath window. Fascinating to see the effect on changes in the CV Distance and CV Feedrate settings.

As I understand it the CV Distance is the maximum distance from a corner where the deviation from the original toolpath is allowed to start. The CV Feedrate seems to be the maximum feedrate in "corner cutting mode". A low value here makes a sharper corner with less deviation from the original toolpath. A zero value here should make the CV mode the same as the exact stop mode where the feed rate is zero a very short moment.

General Mach Discussion / Cant get CV led to turn off

I have trouble to understand the CV led, OEM code 54 in the main screen.

It stays on no matter what I do. I have unchecked  all in Config>General config> CV control.

What is the purpose with this led? Is it something I don't understand or have done wrong?

General Mach Discussion / Smal bug feed hold in I, J comands
« on: April 22, 2009, 06:53:42 AM »
When I'm running a line of code containing I and J comands it is necessary to hit feed hold twice for the action to take place. On the first hit the actual arc section in the tool path window lit up, but the feed continues. On the next hit the motion stops. If running a straight line motion stops on the first hit of the feed hold button.
Is this as it is intended to be?

I'm running version R3. 042. 020.

Anyone of you guys experiencing the same behaviour?

If someone have a dedicated system with a small screen it can maybe be a problem with the wider background images.
However I gave priority to a slightly wider image for better visibility and a more "roomy" appearance. One thing I didn't consider is what screen sizes exists. I can see it is desirable to have an image fitting exactly into a small screen in the 1000 to 1200 pixel wide range. As the 1136 pixel wide image is randomly selected it probably doesn't fit exactly into any screen.

The X, Y, Z and A "buttons"on the tool path page isn't buttons, only images. You can't zero the DRO's there. That you have to do on the main page or the MDI page. I don't remember the reason for doing it that way.

Anyway it's easy to change that if required.

If someone isn't familiar with Screen4 I can make a modified set file with active Zero buttons on the tool path page also.

I had to make an "A" button. As you can see on the main screen I have labeled the fourth axis "4".

Anyway, here is your A button and a new set file for the Zero A button on the main screen.

Rename the "ASN" button to "A".

My fault!

I had two set files with exactly same name in my Mach3 folder. I had posted the old version in the previous posts.

Here is the current version at last.

Sorry for the inconvenience  :)

The jpg files is in Mach3/Bitmaps/Millbitmaps.

Here is a new set file. Changed Bitmaps to back on the first two screens. Maybe that is what causing your fault?

Edit:     Still the wrong set file.......  :(

New lset file. The file included in the previous zip file contains an error. I had named an label with "Mode". Mode is obviously a code for G-codes loaded. Have changed the label to On. Please install the lset file included in this post.

Edit:     Wrong set file here also. Removed.
