Just check or uncheck the box for active low, just so it is opposite of the way it is set now. Then test

Same
I am in no way knowledgeable but to change the active state of a switch, go to the "config" at the top of the mach program page. Click it, then click "port and pins". Under input signals, scroll down until you see "home" for each axis, are they enabled? Is "active low" checked or not? If it is, uncheck it & select O.K. Go back and look at diagnostics leds and see if there is a change.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Sherline Soft Limits

Sorry I just saw your post. I would think you only want your Z to home after x and y so you wont hit clamps etc. Z should retract just prior to the end of the code, I think. What kind of mototr settings do you run? I am running a cnc sherline but it has many changes from A2zcnc. I run 42 on velocity and 12 on accel on x & y and 36 /8 on Z. Might be able to go a little faster> i am running 205 oz steppers on all 3 axis.

I have tried restarting mach and the computer. Still no change beside what is in my pocket! LOL. I sent Scott the license to see if it is corrupt or something.

I have installed the license in the add on folder in mach3, still says unlicensed. I then install it Newfangled's folder in add ons, no change. I had it installed in the Mach folder before during and after any or all of these changes. still says unicensed. The Mach program has my info in the license page and it works well. but NFS not the same. I sure hope the wizards work better than Kirans did last night.

If you installed Mach to the default location you want to place the licence files into C:\Mach3 folder.

The plugin can just be copied over from one machine to another if you require it.

I dont find it at all in the plugins page. I did have problems with it but it could find edges and such

Thanks for the help and I did change it, but not to what it was originally, still dont know what that is. Also the check box wont stay unchecked if I close after unchecking.

If that is the case, I install it where to be exact? I have tried to install it in the Mach 3 folder (wherever the default would be in that folder). And I have tried to add it into the addon folder. I restart the computer and nothing. Still says I am unlicensed for NFS, the Mach is fine. Also bouncing back from my Vista to Xp machines, I notice my vista machine has a probing plugin where my xp machine doesnt have it and it is not in the plugin config page as an option.

Hood, thanks for the response but the issue isnt the license as I have both. The problem seems to be what the file is associated with. It used to show in my mail as a black and white Icon that said "dat". Now it has the Adobe logo? I inadvertently changed what it opened with and when I brought the thumb drive back over to my vista machine to recopy the original, it changed their association too. Personally I cant imagine how anyone could run a machine shop with all of the non machining bs that goes along with it.

General Mach Discussion / Kirans Wizard
« on: October 23, 2009, 12:58:59 PM »
Last night after finding out my NFS wizards were unlicensed. I tried Kirans cicle cutting wizard. Everthing was going as planned (.250 2f.e.m., circle diameter 2.255, and .43 depth from Z0). I watched for many passes and then for no reason, machine was untouched, I had restarted mach fresh and only configured this wizard once for this hole/circle, and the cutter starts going across the inside of the circle (a previously uncut area). Is this normal? I checked my cv, it was on. It is abs in mode not inc. I noticed prior to this if I played with wizards a few times and loaded and removed gcodes without starting mach fresh, it seemed to have random  things happen, unexplained. This was all with air cuts. I thought I had associated it with not reopening mach fresh as that had corrected the cuts prior to this. Any ideas?
