General Mach Discussion / Ref All Home does not work
« on: July 23, 2013, 10:20:16 AM »
The debounce worked, Was set to Zero (default?).
Tried 2000, changed down to 1000, all good.

What is the recommended debounce setting?

Many thanks :)

Drew
The smallest number you can get away with. The longer the debounce, the farther the axis travels til the signal is seen.

There is plenty to understand there! Is there something in particular you are having an issue with or difficulty comprehending?

There should be a few around. Personally I don't remember what I did with mine. Hopefully someone here will chime in. Sent the manuals this afternoon.

Rich, I was just rereading this thread and realized you asked this question years ago and I never responded. The literature was not difficult to read, it was and is difficult to comprehend. Two different problems entirely, one for which you can not be responsible, me. ;-)

The PMDX 126 is a great unit too. It allows the SS to plug in directly. It has expanded mode capabilities that allow more inputs on a single port if desired. It has plenty more abilities I don't even begin to understand ;-)

Why be embarrassed? I would use a dial indicator myself.

Which axis is showing the variance or is it both? If it is just 1 axis. I would think it is an axis calibration or backlash compensation value error.
