Heat and or bad solder joints can cause problems like that too.

Any input pin can be assigned to the EStop. In your case if pin 7 is being triggered on the diagnostics page. Reassign it in settings.

I have seen Sherlines run everything too, however the cnc packages from Sherline are what I was talking about. Isnt flashcut totally different that Mach? I dont know but I do know how to tune Mach.

Did you mess with your velocity and accel settings and see the difference?

So, have you ever machined anything via CNC? Do you know what GCode is or how to use it? There is a bit to learn. It isn't just pressing a few buttons and everything starts to move correctly. Well it could be, but most of us weren't that patient.

Is this correct? You said " I re-homed the machine, returned all axis to zero (and it was then in the correct position). How could you tell the machine was in the correct position after rehoming and returning all axis to 0?

How has this machine been maintained? Might be a good time for cleaning, inspection and adjustment.

Jeff, he just didnt feel like he had the time or the abilities. I assured him he was capable and that in the long run it would be beneficial.

Btw, Machines vary in their settings quite a bit. This can be from a multitude of reasons, gibs, sliding or rolling resistance, pitch of lead or ball screws, resonance from a microstepping value or lack of.
