Anymore would imply that it worked at 1 time. I am not sure if that is true.

I like the technology and the performance of the printer but not the strength of the finished part. Thought to which way the loads will be applied is key to creating a good part. Of course that is the case in all design but I have a tendency for overkill if in metal. I havent tried the acetone vapor baths. It is all there if I need it though.

Galil / axis ports and pins settings

Pins 2- 9 are output pins IIRC. On my phone in jury duty at the moment.

What are you referring to "Smart Term"?

PoKeys / PoKeys and Limit Switches

I posted in the other thread but do you have this "homing" switch also enabled as a limit switch? Is it at the end of travel? Soft limits will stop the over travel issue.

The returning to zero is most likely achievable though I couldn't tell you how to do it.

In regards to the switches, proximity or other kinds. Do you have the switch enabled as a home switch? As a limit switch too? Both types will need to be enabled though you only run 1 physical switch. Look into running "soft limits" too. This will keep the machine within its physical boundaries.

General Mach Discussion / 3D printing with Mach 3, who is doing it?
« on: March 17, 2014, 09:03:46 AM »
You will notice most things in the 3D printer world will need or you will desire improving on them immediately.

Though I am not active with my printers at the moment. What Mach related questions do you have? I have run it successfully in the past.

only 3 decimals! :-( I remember there was a time before the internet when you could have argued if you were wrong. Kind of hard with it in print and uneditable.

Russ, fortunately my 0 value is still the same ;-)

The debounce values are in 40 microsecond intervals 40/100,000,000ths of a second. Even a value of 2000 as Hood suggests is requiring the signal be present for 2000 x 40us=80000/1,000,000,000ths of a second or 8/10,000ths of a second. Most of our machines (hobbyist) dont move very far in that short amount of time even in rapids.

The Estop tripping is likely a debounce setting being too low or a ground issue. Have you applied any debounce (not index debounce). Maybe both.

It is complicated in the beginning (and even now in the not so beginning).
