Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in but I will give you my take.

1. I am not sure if a Mach license is transferable but most likely it is. I do know that if you have a license, you can have it on as many computers and machines as you desire. Quite generous IMO.

2.Doing a fresh install always seems to help when things go wrong. Always try to keep a back up of your last working xml files. Mach does this so really you just need to know where to get it.

It sounds like you already figured out my last suggestion to transfer the file from 1 computer to the other.

Did the original computer have the wizard and appeared to work but wouldnt save the file?

Wish I could help more.

Mike I am not sure where you live. Oddly enough the computers Mach needs are not special. Ask your neighbors if they have any old computers around. I was happy to finally find a purpose for some of the computers I refused to throw out due to my fear someone else might discover my secrets on my HD's. I am not sure of what those secrets are but I sure didnt want anyone else to know what they were either. Important stuff like my Machsupport password. You know things you probably cant remember ;-)

Though there are many ways to skin a cat as you have found out. There is still something wrong if you have to lie to the machine.

Does your code cut the square in 1 pass? If you cut to depth in a few passes, are the walls straight? In both the X and Y planes?

It is coming, M4 I mean. It will be here before global warming or climate change makes any difference in our lives. Now taxes for "our part", thats different ;-)

Not that I am of any help, but are the models of computers you changed the same?

He means parallel port a.k.a. a DB25.

The driver test is an item Mach asks you to use and verify the quality of the pulse train sent from your PC.

This is a link to a driver test being run.

I know the 126 is a great product! You didn't go wrong there.

Is your plasma and your controller plugged into the same circuit?

It is in config/ports and pins/motor outputs. Check enable for each axis used.

Are you trying to use pin 3 for step on 1 motor and direction on another?
