General Mach Discussion / upgrade
« on: January 25, 2011, 06:05:18 AM »
I have recently upgraded from a previous version and I can't seem to get the Mach3 screen big enough. When I hit the maximize button, it only fills a portion of the display screen.

General Mach Discussion / start up message?
« on: August 01, 2010, 05:17:50 PM »
When I start Mach 3, I get two messages on my screen that never have been there before. " Plugin DLL Defective, Reload", and "X Box 360 Controller.dll, defective plug In Found..ignoring"  When I click OK on both of them, the program starts as usual. How do I get rid of these?

General Mach Discussion / help with program issue
« on: April 04, 2010, 12:11:36 PM »
I have a toggle clamp (manually closed and air actuated (cylinder) to open) with a prox switch on it that activates when clamp goes to open position. How do I use the input from the prox switch to prevent the program from continuing unless the clamp is open? I am using M8 with a 1 sec. delay and M9 to energize the solenoid that opens the clamp. The program (simpilfied) is something like this:
G0G90 G54 X1Y1
X1.5Y1.5F10
M8M9
X2Y2
M30

General Mach Discussion / LED question
« on: April 02, 2010, 06:10:12 AM »
How do you get the X zero, Y zero, and Z zero LEDs to change from green to red after you hit an E-Stop? (this would indicate that you should do a "home ref." before continuing) My system used to do this and now for some reason it is not!

General Mach Discussion / limit switch problem
« on: March 24, 2010, 10:00:16 AM »
I have one switch located on each of the X-, Y+, and Z+ end of axes travels, and have the X HOME, X--, Y HOME, Y++, and Z HOME, Z++ inputs enabled.  The problem is the RESET LED after 3 - 4 seconds keeps flashing, even after hitting RESET again. The only way I can prevent this from happening is to disable X--, Y++, and Z++ limits. Can anyone assist me in solving this problem?

General Mach Discussion / Program Safety Lockout problem
« on: February 17, 2010, 10:28:38 AM »
Has anyone had any experience using this? I have set up a perimeter guard with interlock on Input #1 and checked the "program safety" block under general config. Every time I open the interlock switch, the machine does not stop immediately and I also loose complete position from my workpiece coordinate, even though it shows that my work coordinates are correct. Would I be better off wiring this interlock switch in series with my E-Stop button?

General Mach Discussion / "RESET" question
« on: February 11, 2010, 04:59:00 PM »
When I open the "Program Run" screen the reset button is flashing. After pushing the reset button, everything stays normal for about 40 seconds and then it automatically goes back in to the "RESET" mode. I don't believe this has ever happened before. Is there some setting I may have inadvertantly changed?
