I have been posting in "G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions" that I was having problems loading dxf files created in CorelDraw. I was wondering if you knew of any fixes for this problem ? The problem is the same when I use Coreldraw ver 7 and the newest X3 version. The DXF file that is created will import into Turbocad just fine but not Lazycam.

Thanks for any help

I exported from CorelDraw as a plt file and it loads directly into Lazycam. I exported a DWG file and used the A9converter to make a DXF file and it worked fine. I wonder what is wrong with LazyCam and my versions of CorelDraw ? I also tried the file export in Turbocad ver 6 and it did not work either as a DXF file. BTW, when exporting, I do not get the option to create version 11 file, only to 13 and up.

I tried the A9 converter however it will not accept as imput a .cdr file which is the natural output for CorelDraw files. Thanks for the suggestion

I tried William in Turbo Cad 6 and saved as a DXF. This did not load in Lazycam either, got msg that no entities found in the file.

Here is the file I created using CorelDraw 7. When I try to load this one, I get an error that Lazycam cannot find any entities.

thanks, your file worked good. Using the new version, I tried saving as 2000 and it did not work. I opened the dxf file and it does not seem to have end of line carrige controls, all the text is bunched together. I also have CorelDraw 7 and that dxf file does not work either. So, I am stumped.

Here is the CorelDraw file for which I changed the file extension to txt so it would be accepted in the attachment. Rename it to .cdr to open it
