Really the OP's block of code should move Z and only Z no matter where it is. If it's in the Go To Zero function, THAT block of code should only move the Z. If there are other G53 lines or if one G53 line also included X and Y, then more that Z will move.

Hopefully the OP will show up back here and tell us what's happening!!

I could be mistaken, but I thought the OP was asking about a line of Gcode, not Go To Machine Zero or whatever it's called. If he MDI's his line, or it's in a program, it shouldn't move X/Y, should it?

Grab a cup of coffee! Not sure any of this is relevant to your situation.

Contact Steve Stallings via email, he WILL help you.

I used Daz's Unplugin Plugin to remove the keyboard plugin and it seems better, but I can't really be certain!!

I contacted Lee Neuman of VistaCNC and told him to come here and Warp9 where this has been mentioned, but nothing. I emailed him a week or so ago and he said he's still "working on it."

Someone said they're ordering a P4-S in hopes that will work, but I'm just guessing if the P2-S plugin doesn't work, the P4-S won't either.

I removed the keyboard plugin from the plugins directory completely, restarted Mach4, and the P2-S still bricks at some point, seemingly, or usually, while running gcode!! So it isn't the keyboard plugin, I guess.

An interesting aside, even with the keyboard plugin NOT in the plugins directory, the little keyboard shows in the tray briefly before disappearing.

Belt and suspenders............but what I do is on a D:\ drive in the computer or a NAS on my network, when Mach4 is ticking along nicely I copy the entire Mach4 directory to a directory on the other drive. I name it like 180211_Good for today's date and something to tell me what I was thinking. If I hose something the simple solution is rename the Mach dir on C:\ and copy the saved copy back. Worked for me MANY times!! If you look at Artsofts YouTube video on installing a new version, Jim (I THINK it was Jim!) does exactly that, and even names them back and forth right on C:\.

This can make using a new computer easy, too. Install Mach, license it however you need to, copy the dir over the top!! Done.

Have you tried just removing the keyboard plugin from the plugins folder, or is that what you meant by unplug_plugin? Maybe it IS the keyboard plugin conflicting? I'll have to try that, I don't much like jogging with the keyboard anyhow, but I DO LIKE jogging with the P2-S, if/when it works. ;D
