PoKeys / PoKeys55 and MPG Pendant
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:24:50 PM »
Hi All,

I built a simple pendant with (2) three position rotaty switches for Axis select and Step select. I set them up (on PoKeys) as digital inputs on pins 6 thru 11. I have a single pushbutton, pin 5, selecting MPG Jog mode.  These all work fine as expected. I have an MPG wired up to my Pokeys pin 1 and 2.  I set up both the Encoder 1 and MPG #1 in 'Ports & Pins' to Port 10, Pins 1 for A and 2 for B. When I rotate the MPG, I get cycling on the 'IO Status' screen and the 'Encoder RAW Value' screen, but no physical axis cycling. I tried enabling "Enable Fast Encodors' Pins 2-3, 4-5 and 15-16' to no avail. Can anyone help?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Enternal E-STOP Leds

Hi All,

All your collective suggestions directed me to notice that my charge pump LED was on when Reset was enabled and off when Reset was at fault. I fed the blinking LED's on my control panel with the NC points of the relay, and I have the effect I was looking for.  When the reset is at fault, my LEDs are powered on (no charge pump signal) and when the Reset is enabled (reset), the LED's are powered off (charge pump signal activates relay). Thanks again to all.

Hi All,

* I added Tweakie's macro to the Mach3\Macros\'my profile'\Reset LEDs.m1s (my name for the file). Substitutes Output2 for Tweakie's Output1 and turned on Run MacroPump. With a hi-lo audio probe on Port 1, Output 16, I get a constant lo sound when reset is enables. When Rest is at fault (blinking red) I get an occasional Hi sound. It appears that the output does not stay triggered high to keep LED's lit.
* Stirling, What do I append, and to what initialization string?  Thanks to you all for sharing your knowledge and time.

Thanks Tweakie,

The leds I have mounted are flashing leds, I need to find a way to power them when reset fault has been triggered (blinking red on screen).

Hi All!
On my Cntrl Pnl, I mounted a MACH3 RESET switch along with two red leds (one on each side of switch). I got the Mach3 Reset switch to work (OEM 1021), but I can't get the red leds to go on (or blink) as the "Program Run Alt-1" screen red leds do (when the E-stop is triggered).  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Tweakie.CNC, How or where do I attach the VB to Mach3?

I think that is the way they are added to a screen, but doesn't a real life LED need an Output to sense when the screen LED went on to turn the real life LED on?

Hi All,
I put a momentary switch (OEM Code 245) on my control panel to toggle thru Cont, Step, MPG modes.  I would like to add a LED for each position so I know where I am after a toggle, but don't know how.   I think the OEMLeds are 14, 15, 57.  All help would be appreciated.
