Bargain Basement / Four Stepper Motors and 2 drives
« on: October 18, 2020, 02:55:39 PM »
(2) Automation Technology KL-8070 D drives
(2) NEMA 34 Keling Tech Motors KL34H280-45-4A
(2) Anaheim Automation Nema 23 23Y206S-LW8 motors
Cables on (3) motors and on drives.

All working when I changed to Servo 2 years ago. I have pictures on my cell I can text.

$60 and you pay ground shipping. Its decent hardware for newbies.

Tangent Corner / Increased stepper volts from 24 to 48, dang!
« on: March 30, 2013, 09:55:40 PM »
Just bought an Antek DC power supply that puts out 48 volts at 400 watts for my digital Leadshine drives with a Nema 24 and 34 stepper motors. Man what a speed difference for rapids. Damn near doubled max speed on my lathe and I have not stalled yet. Not sure just how fast I can go but I was turtle speed before cause I geared down almost 4 to 1 on X & Z. If I get 16 to 20 IPM with this system I'll be pretty happy.

Just got a new AC servo system from DMM technology out of Canada still in the box. It cost me a few bucks but I am excited about the speed and accuracy it will achieve. Should be fun. Most likely transition it to a mill project but it gets tested on the lathe first. I will have to report out to the forum just how well these AC, 3 phase, synchronous motors perform. Compared to the big name servos these must have been around 20 to 30% less cost. Heard good things so said what the hell its only money.

Tangent Corner / Saw "Yaskawa Drive" at a trade show
« on: October 12, 2012, 02:47:08 PM »
Saw a Yaskawa rep. and a few drives this week at a local automation fair. The Junma Series has me drooling a bit. Lower cost AC servo, 100 thru 750 watts with step and driection input option. I could learn to like this hardware! I assume this would easily adapt to Mach. Plugs into a wall socket, AC 110V. Easy button?

Tangent Corner / A call to all "San Mach Diegans"
« on: September 23, 2012, 11:01:23 AM »
Wondering who else is in the San Diego, Orange County, Tijuana or even LA area that plays with Mach or any aspects of DIY CNC machines. The forum is awsome, able to reach our and touch somebody half way around the world but it would be nice to interface with some local gear heads that are into this stuff. Anyone ineterested hit my PM box or e-mail which is listed in my profile. Maybe we could sample some suds after working off course. Safety third.

Regards,
Robert
