General Mach Discussion / hunting for something?
« on: June 21, 2007, 07:04:04 AM »
Guys, dont know if you can help.
computer:
2.8 pentium galio motherboard NEC Powermate
512 ram
ITE PCI par.port card. (motherboard only gives out 3.5v)

happens on all versions of mach3.

When I first start up the computer and go into mach,it seems to be looking
for something because the vfd controller relays keep clicking about once every 3-4 seconds.
if the spindle motors running you can hear it blipping, but not stopping.
I run my suds system from a solid state relay and that goes on simultaniosly.
This goes on for about 20-30 seconds and then stops.
This only happens the first time you open up mach.
it dosent do it again untill you restart the computer.
There is no effect on the servo,s.
It dosent really cause problems its just annoying!

   Cheers

Hi,
  great article,two things:
couldnt see how to export stl file in sketchup
& I always use MDF or better still HDF or tanalised MDF
for vacuum moulds before I go to aluminium,to check sizes/prototyping.
when youve cut, seal it with a good few coats of watered down PVA glue.

Chris,
I'm really cant get to grips with this,do you have the machine definition file for this post?
I dont know what I'm doing but I keep on getting error messages that I dont understand.
normally I would do an update post but that wont work, because its allready a updated post.
So i havent got the machine/control definition files I need to be able to try and use it.
Can you help?

mastercamX as it should even after updating it.
Does anyone have one they can send me as I really would like to
carry on using MCX rather than go back to MC8

Thats interesting the realtime thing,I just tried it and I'm sure I got a cleaner driver test.
prehaps you should post that as a question to get a better response.
