General Mach Discussion / carefull using T5 belts/pulleys
« on: February 06, 2012, 01:59:21 PM »
T5 belts and pulleys are not suitable for cnc drive systems.
I just had to replace them on mylatest build with 5M .
the problem is that the t5 system has backlash or clearence between the pully and belt tooth form.

Just read the latest version of the user manual and nowhere does it link the gain dips to the "p" adjustment

OK, so if you find your "p" pot is out of range you would alter the dips to get it back in?
cheers

its ok I have an 18v toroid to make a 24 vold supply just a bit tight for space, can you "stack" toroids phisically not electrically, because i know they can do weird stuff!
Any thoughts on FAT32 vs NTFS ?

OK, so ,whats the best way of knocking down my 36v to 24V and still deliver 2 x 6amps @24v ? would a couple of 317 voltage regulators (3amps each) wired in parallel per motor do it?

well my thinking is that rpm and volta\ge are linked and ive checked this ie at 2800 rpm on a gecko the motor is drawing 24 volt
