General Mach Discussion / sharp 10.4 screen

Hi I have just aquired a sharp LQ104s1dg21   10.4" colour  screen.
I would like to use it in my mill enclosure.the problem is im not sure on how to wire it up,there are plenty of pdf's with the pin outs on one of which i have attached, and i am assuming its vga or svga?
could some one please have a look into this and point me in the right direction?

Hi,
  I have built a pendant for my mill with an encoder. it all works fine.
Is it possible to put two encoder's/handwheels on so that it is more natural to use manually?

 I need to operate some relays to opreate work clamps etc.
I know I can use spare coolant g code, but how do you do it without
using g04 Is there spare g or m numbers that can be used?

Guys,
 just bought one of these to replace the mouse on my cnc computer,its Ideal.
I have tried allsorts of mice and track balls but this is the best.
its even small enough to mount on a pendant.

particularly an italic hand writing style suitable for jewellery.

Could somebody please explain in laymans terms how to set up the g28 toolchange position.
I.E. how when I have zero'ed a job I want the machine to go to  x100 y 100 z20 when I code g28.
The exact sequence of events,to go through including the bizzare machine position coordinates system.

General Mach Discussion / electro-pneumatic slide lock

Hi,
   I would like to make some pneumatic slide locks for my  mill.
What I'm thinking is a tap off the step line to a transistor then to a small 5V pcb type relay finally to a 24V solenoid and an air cylinder.
 I would like it to open or release instantly upon sensing the first step ( within reasonable workable boundaries) then lock again when the pulse stream stops I would like a delay on re-lock of about 0.5 second.
  How can I achieve this? can I use a cap/resistor delay or a 555 timer? or is it a job for a PIC ?
Any help or circuit suggestions would be welcome.
