Hi Drew:

The number is used during the call to get the offset, but it isnt stored I dont think, Ill add it to my list to add one for you.. last used or something..

Thanks,
Art

Is there any news on if this is in the works or done. Its stanard on most lathes to know what offset you are using. It makes it hard to adjust offsets in the tool table if you don't know it.
Thanks Drew

My machine pics at http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,4618.0.html
My turret uses only LPT and M6Start.m1s macro ( no PLC, macropump or brains) to control 2 solenoids and read the 4 bit BCD and turret down(lock) position. Note when tool changing in lathe only the 'T' code is used no M6 in the g-code program.
The macro indexes at the current machine position so move your turret to a safe position before hand.
My Hnc had a GE 550 control. What fanuc control did/does your Hnc have?

Roo see post http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,4191.msg31239.html#msg31239
It has the atc macro code that uses all the original controls and encoder output. THX Drew

I have a digital servo controler and was wanting to know if anyone out there is running one of these with Mach3?
And how it is working out for you. If you are running with gecko servo amp let me know how that is going also.
Thanks Drew

Mine is a HNC late 70's I think and it has stepper motors now. If I had to do it over now digital servo controllers would be my choice. But eight years ago when I removed the servos that would have cost a mint. I think the CHNC is the same base machine wrapped up in a new package.
