FYI All our vectors are brought down as .001 sec (1 milli sec) vectors

Is this how position data is sent over ethernet?

I have a job to retro fit a Acramatic 850 that has a sumodrive.
This looks like a nice one stop fix for motion to the analog drive and i/o.

Thanks Drew

In turn I could find no way or dro that stored the offset number that was applied to the turret durring the tool change command.
In milling this is not much of an issue, but in turning sometimes you dont use the same offset number as tool number.
asper : tool 1 with a .031 nose radius say T0101
or   tool 1 with a .015 nose radius say T0111
If you can please add this if I am not overlooking it.

Thanks Drew

General Mach Discussion / Re: Turn Z part offset
« on: September 22, 2008, 10:17:25 AM »
I dont seem to be explaning what I want to do very well. Lets say I set my tools to a part that is sticking out the chuck 2 inchs , run that part and replace it with a part that sticks out 2.75 inches. Is there an Z offset that that I can enter the 0.75 inch in to have all the tools 'see' the new face of the part ?
Thanks Drew

Thanks Dave, But I know how to set tool offsets to any part. What I want to do is set the tool offsets once then only have to ajust one Z offset for all tools for parts that stick out the chuck longer or shorter lengths. Like a Work offset on my fanuc lathe.
