General Mach Discussion / Re: I'm Losing Position HELP!!!!
« on: October 05, 2008, 03:03:57 PM »
You are going faster than the geckos can push the motors so you need lower count encoders if yo need the speed.  Remember 500 in quadrature is 2000 transitions per revolution.  So if you have it a 3:1 belt and a 5tpi screw that is 30,000 steps per inch Geckos are not made for that.
I have some of these drives on a bridgeport mill they are running nice,  I have the Viper 200.  This is the best deal for servo drives.

I added another screen in mach with a X dro, it updates fine if I jog in the run program screen but will not jog in the new screen I made.  What needs to be done to make it jog?

Ron,

Thank you much that is what I need!!

I looked through the wiki and didn't see that you need to put call before the SetUserLED.  So i was trying with out the call and nothing worked.

VB and the development of wizards / Buttons to turn on LED's
« on: August 14, 2008, 11:31:52 PM »
I looked through most of the posts in this section and not sure were to start on this code:(

I want to have 6 buttons with Led's next to them when you push one button the led next to it lights up when you push another button the led next that button lights up and the previous one goes off.
Any one see a sample VB code for this and were will the code need to go(macro pump)?  Does each button need its own code?

I made the buttons and leds, can I use any OemLed number over 1000 for the led?

I have a C1G and C11G.

Have you been on cnczone.com in the Bridgeport section? years of reading but great info that will save you $$$ and time.

I have been collecting parts for plasma cutter also and one note about the MAX200 units is their consumable life is very short compared to a hydef unit.  The max200 gets ~200 or less starts and the other ones get over 1,000 starts on electrodes.   So I got one of these:

It's a Thermal Arc 500 amp power source with everything included.
