General Mach Discussion / FYI Onboard video and video card
« on: June 26, 2007, 12:13:09 AM »
Im putting together a cheapo computer from parts that I have around to run a small router.  And it has onboard video, so I ran the driver test and it was ugly!  So installed a cheap ATI video card and looks like Mach will like this computer now.  It's a Celeron 1.1Ghz just enough to run Mach. 8)

By the numbers it looks like it will run good, as long as you use a video card and not onboard video.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Conversion Bridgeport Mills

I think you should get these DC servo drives http://www.larkencnc.com/viper/index.shtml to make life easy.  I will have some on the way soon for my Bridgeport mill also.  And one of these breakout boards for accurate homing stop. http://www.cncbuildingblocks.com/breakout.html

You will need to put up pictures and more info about the servo drives the machine has.

You are right about the 11th hour, they want it done yesterday!

There is a good example in a book called "How to win Friends and Influence People"  on how to get customers to get their planing done on time.
