Exploded the text also, dxf below, Exploding the Text turns it into small line segments & arcs in most cad's..

Pocket & Offsetting in LCam Pro or CAD/CAM programs.

What Stepper/driver board are you using, Try the Sherline 1/2 step mode, Your board may need more time to see Mach's Pulses.

Use the REPLY button and attach your DXF, Have you looked at it in any other cad software and saved another dxf .

DXF files from cad to cad are very different, Do you have an option to save it in Autocad 12 format.

I use Screen Hunter 5 Free ver. hear, http://www.wisdom-soft.com/sh/index.htm

Use the "REPLY" button to Attach your Pic's and Files.

Post a DXF or LCAM file also.

Been using a startup string and the Use on "All Resets Option", To level the playing field a little.
