Hi, D CUSTOMS

The spindle should be moving, - X left, - Y towards you & +Z up for Home Position.

Hi, Travis

Well go figure that one, Get a socket tester to make sure the neutral & hot leads aren't reversed while your fixing the Gnd problem.

Glad you found the problem.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Homing all axis Help!!
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:53:50 AM »
Hi, Oskie

When your Homing are the DROs decreasing in value for X, Y,  & Z DRO increasing.

The spindle should be moving, - X left, - Y towards you & +Z up for Home.

When you push the switch "the axis keep moving in the same direction", It Should Stop and Change Directions, When you release the switch axis should stop.

That axis should zero, Then Mach should move to the next axis and home it the same way..

In Config, Home & Limits, Theres a "Home Neg" Check Box and a "Reversed" Box to change Axis direction if needed.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, JonnyD

It may be some transient noise/spikes, Bouncy Switch or bad contact in a switch, Try setting the De-bounce Interval in, Config, General Configuration to 1000 to 2000, Mach's default is 0,

See if that helps, May need to use shielded cable to switches, It can be allot of things.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle encoder disk diameter?
« on: June 10, 2008, 10:53:45 PM »
Hi, panaceabeachbum

If your encoder has a Index pulse output you can use a IC 555 timer, It detects the Pulse then delays the reset to give Mach time to see the pulse.

I've got the diag. around hear somewhere, I posted it awhile back Hear, One way or the other will find it.

Edit: Hears the basic Diag, needed.

Hi, GAerospace

Sounds to me that you need to change the Limits Active Low State in Ports and pins, Inputs.

Hi, Travis

Where do you live, You need to find some one to help get this sorted out.

You've got a Power wire or Gnd wire in the wrong place.

That's why your BOB board is Shorting Out Everything when you connect it to your Computer.

As you stated before:

"I checked both parallel port cables and I have 5volts on the outer shell of the d connection no ground on pin 18-25."

You Should Not have 5 volts on the Outer Shell, It's a Gnd/Shield, Pin's 18 through 25 are also Gnd/Returns pin's.

Thanks, Chip
