General Mach Discussion / Re: Setting up MaxNC T2

Hi, Shawn

Do you have the pin-outs for this lathe. ?

May be able to use a adapter 25f to 25m that will allow changing the pin numbers around and just not use the A, Y pins.

Take some pictures of inside of the cont. box, Maybe we can identify the servo boards used in it.

Hi, Cosha

There are a couple of other items to check, Dir & Step Low Actives and that Mach is sending Pulses Long Enough for your Boards to See them.

Try these XML's, Let me now if ether one works and if one works better than the other.

If the Directions need changing use "Reversed" in Config, Homes & Limits to change the direction.

When we get it moving, Then a tune-up and calibration.

Hi, Inivator

Switches wired all NC in "Series",

One end, "Pin 12-BOB_____C swX- NC_____C swX+ NC_____C swY- NC_____C swY+ NC_____C swZ- NC_____C swZ+ NC_____ other end (#) see Below".

If your BOB Pin 12 is +5 volts (Held High) Then other end (#) = Gnd, Active Lows "X".

If your BOB Pin 12 is 0 volts (Held Low) Then other end (#) = +5 volts DC, Active Lows "Checked".

I may have the Active Low setting backwards, But thy will be set to the same State.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, George

Your 72 to 1 may not be an accurate/exact number , If its moving 9.5 deg with 400 steps per deg.

Try 421.05261 in steps per, Dose it make a full 10 deg or 360 deg now.

Check it both ways there can be allot of backlash in a std. worm gear table.

Do you have the "Use diameter for Feed-rate" Checked in Config, Tool-Path Configuration page and using a "Rotational Diameter" in the Settings page.

Been awhile since I had my rotary table setup.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hear are a couple of links to look at.

I'm using TurboCad and BobCad/Cam, There are quite a few out there for sure.

Post a link to your web-page, Couldn't find it.

Thanks, Chip

Hi, RChadwick

In config, ports & pins, "Spindle Setup", Do you have these set up to M3 output 1 and Disable Spindle Relay un-checked.

Hi, Sidskilly

For the most part Mach uses Step/Direction commands.

Check your servo control boards inputs, If its analog +-10 volts theres a few interface boards to convert them to step/direction.

Just a start Hear, Chip

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Re: Display problem maybe?
« on: June 18, 2008, 11:09:24 PM »
Hi, TMSmith

Mach displays offsets properly, But it doesn't display it properly on the "view screen" when cutting.

At the end of your G-code file you need a G52 x0 y0 to reset the Temp Cord. Offset (G52 offset remains persistent till canceled), I Think.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, kevoler

I think it might be the "Default Plasma Post",  Try the "Default Mill" post and see if thats it.

Thanks, Chip
