Hi, Jeff

Welcome, Hears a start, We'll help you as much as you need, So Ask Away.

On your printer port cable, Your Step+, Dir+, You can use these pin's, 2 - 9, 1, 14, 16, 17, There (output's).

Most use, "X", 2,3 or 3,2, "Y", 4,5 or 5,4, "Z", 6,7 or 7,6.

Your Step-, Dir-, Use common/Gnd., pin's 18-25 considered to be the same Gnd. connection.

Note: Not all printer ports or Cables use all of them, So connect 18-25 all together.

Hears a link to Getting Started Manual: http://www.machsupport.com/docs/Mach3Mill_Install_Config.pdf

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Sage

Using the G-code you posted, Wouldn't using F60 for your cut speed be an excessive value for cutting with a small cutter anyway.

Set it to a realistic value for the type of material your cutting, Make sure your using "Diameter for Federate" in Config, Tool-Path.

I think your masking Mach3's ability to work as it should, Tune your Velocity's & Acceleration's with G0 moves till they skip then back them down a little.

Would think your A axis Acceleration could be higher.

Hi, Sage

As Greg stated, Do you have a value set in Setting's, Rotation Diameters for the A axis.

Hi, Bill

Looked at your xml, In Motor-Tuning, Set the Step/Direction "Pulse's" to 5 and see it that help's, Gecko want's them at 3 or above, It gives them a little more time to see the step/dir. Pulse's.

Hang in there, In general I'm felling about the same way.

Hi, Cor

Well I removed my Mach3 Lic. also now and get the same results that you get.

Guess you will need the Mach3 Lic. at least.

Edit: I think this is mostly correct below.

Mach3, "Demo Mode" & LazyCam, "Demo Mode", LazyCam, Will only post 50 lines of G-code.

Mach3, "Licensed Version", LazyCam, Will post 500 lines of G-code, But will not post Offset's, Pocketing and Such.....

Mach3, "Licensed Version", LazyCam, "Licensed Version", Will post Offset's, Pocketing and Such.....

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: setting "cut depth" by number
« on: March 03, 2009, 03:57:34 PM »
Hi, Cor

I always use Set to layer, Then Set to All layers, After loading a new File to work on.

With the file you've been using it has really only one Layer "Default" which has a bunch of Chain's in that layer.

If you want to cut part of the file at different depth's you need to move the Chain's to a new layer or a diff. layer.

Then the "set layer" and "set All layers" will make more sense.

Hi, Cor

I finally figured out the problem your having, I think, Your running LazyCam from it's own Sub. Dir./Folder.

You need to copy LazyCam.exe and probably All it's associated files into your C:\Mach3 folder for it to work properly.

There's a note on this some where in the past post's.

Hi, Bill

Is Wild Turkey strong enough, Swap your X & Y Gecko's around and test, If it stays with he Y axis, You need to look at the wire-ring carefully.

Post your Mach3Mill.xml file if that's the Profile your using, C:\Mach3\ folder, Make a copy rename it to Bill CMach3Mill.xml.

Is your scope hooked to the actual Gecko terminals, Common, step & dir.
