Hi, Brian

I may have narrowed this problem down a little, I was using a screen that didn't have a Status window in it.

Cut View Blank

I've had this happen  quite a few time's, It happen's after Editing/Saving Gcode very very random.

In Debug this Run, I get in Status: File Rewind Called

In Normal Run, I get in Status: Display file reinitialized. Error report.

File Load doesn't restore cut view, Close File's and File Load doesn't restore cut view eather

Only Re-Start of Mach3, using ver 2.0.007, has existed for some time.

Thank's Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: Limit Switch Request
« on: October 31, 2006, 04:14:44 PM »
Hi, Bill

I see your using NC switche's, that's good, once you get this straitened out you can connect them all in NC- series (NO - parrel)  and save 2 Input pin's, Mach nows the diff. .

As far as trouble shooting, Disable 2 of your axis inputs, xy test z, xz test y, yz test x.

Disable Port's Pins Input's, by  setting Port #'s  to 0, check Emulated for axise's to disable.

Or Gnd the input pin's 2 at a time and check.

Checked the Resistance at the connector for possibly a hi-Resistance switch / wire, ref Gnd. ?

Swap to different input pin #, flaky printer port.

Doesn't make sense to me just adding Home feature would do this.

Are you using a Opto-Isolated interface board or Direct-connect. ?

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Steve

I'm using is Mach3R2.0.005, If I remember correctly 360 and 360 rollover are only avail. in Mach3v190 and newer.

If you enter your one full turn number what ever it is set vel and axcell, then if you devide 1 by the number of teath you want, examp. below, 11 tooth gear.

Deg move single move, 1/360X90 deg=.249993,  90 deg move.

Try the file below you wont have 360 view though.

g91
m98 p110 l11;  A= 144072 steps 360 Deg. Table Rotation
m30

o11;---------------------------- 360 deg step set at 400.2
g01 x.5 y0 a32.727272 f100; 11 equal spaces
g01 x-.5 y0 a-32.727272
g01 a32.727272
m99
%
o110;--------------------step set at 144072
g01 x.5 y0 a.090909 f100; 11 equal spaces
g01 x-.5 y0 a-.090909
g00 a.090909
m99
%

Give it a try.

You should update to latest Ver. Mach3R2.0.006  it's in download's now.

Thank's Chip

Hi, Wawatobi

The XML file's are located in Your Mach3 folder, Mach3Mill.xml, copy and past it in your My Doc's folder, some where you can remember on your computer, just for safe keeping as it has all your setup/startup data.

It's the Session Profile you use at startup can be Plasma.xml, Mach3Turn.xml, Lathe.xml,  or one you created with Mach.

Hope this helps, Chip

Hin Doug

I would re-start Mach use option create new Profile, give it a name, click Default Profile Values,  then re setup all your settings.

This shoudent have your current settings, you can renane the new XML file later if need be.

Got to go now, back later let me now how it go's.

Thank's Chip

Hi, Steve

Have a sherline rot. table, read this below, you need to devide the 115200 by 360 enter this value in Step's Per in  motor tunning, set the vel & Acll. up high.

Config - General Config - checked A-Axis is Angular,  checked - Rot 360 rollover, checked - Ang Short Rot an G0.
Config - ToolPath Configuration - checked - A Rotations Enable, use Diameter for Feedrate.
Config - Motor Tuning, My A  Rotational set-up 360 deg., set-up X,Y,Z, 40000 step's, 10.002 vel,  A 1 Deg.=, 400.2 step's,  2500 vel, 144072 = 360 1 turn   144072 dev by 360 = 400.2
Re-Start, Mach3

Loaded Tooth1.txt Gcode file, No Rotational View Shows in Tool Path Window's, just linear view..
Regen Tool Path, Still No Rotational View, Gcode Shows Run Through, Jog A axis shows Degree Mode in Display.

Setting's Page, set Rotation Diameters A axis to 1.0000, Re-Gen ToolPath, OK, Now it shows Rotational View.

Default Start-up and Create New Profile or Closing Mach3 with a value of 0.0000 in the Setting's Page, Rotation Diameters on re-start will Default back to Linear View as it is now.

Hope this Helps Chip

Hi, Ronin26

Sounds to me your step's Per are set to an Inch Value, Mach work's in unit's , thay can be eather MM or INCH.

Go to Config tab select  Motor Tuning and Setup, change the Step's Per to a value that gives you 1 MM of travel, don't forget to click on Save Settings button for each Axis.

You will probably need to re-tune  Velocity and Acceleration also.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Brian

I understand what your saying, What about a Status or Scrolling massage below Reset Button like,( Rotational Mode Set "Set Radius in Setting's Page") Would give user's something to Que on and cut down confusion.

It caused me quite a bit, There are already so many Nice Feature's in Mach3 like this, probilly not a lot of code, easy for me to say from hear.

If you get a chance could you comment on the other item's hear .

Thank's Chip
