General Mach Discussion / Re: Limit Switches working backwards
« on: April 14, 2007, 06:30:09 PM »
OK, Loui

Under Config, Ports & Pins, Motor outputs, Have you assigned a Port # 1 to all Axises, Step/Dir Ports. Right side of window and Apply.

Same window, Changed the Dir/Step Low Active to different State.

Same window, Inputs Tab, Set up port Pins for your axises, changed the Active Low State.

Diagnostics Page should show switch activity when Pressed.

Take a Look, Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: Motor tuning Mach3
« on: April 14, 2007, 06:02:53 PM »
Hi, tk421

Look under Config, Motor Tuning, Mach's default settings are around 2000 Steps Per, 120 Velocity and 10 for Acceleration.

Try setting 500 Steps Per, 50 Velocity and 5 for Acceleration for X, Y, Z, Don't forget to click "Save Axis Settings" for each axis.

Steps Per (Amount of Pulses to move 1 inch / MM), Velocity ( Max Speed without losing Steps), Acceleration, (From no movement, Start to

Stop speed, without losing Steps).

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, TMSmith

The easiest way is with a dial indicator, Set it up on the table, Move into it some, Zero dial indicator, Move in more.

Move the same amount opposite direction, Dose the dial indicator return to zero, If not there is backlash in your axis.

This is just checking backlash, Not steps per unit/Calaibration

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Roger

Re-check motor wiring, swap motors around, Dose the motor in question still vibrate ?, Could also be the control board.

Check It,Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: Dir pulse length
« on: April 14, 2007, 03:57:59 PM »
Hi, John

Yes

There are settings, Config, Ports & Pins, Motor Outputs, "Dir/Step Low Active", Change the state to "Check" or "X", some control boxes are sensitive to this.

It will change the direction, Use Config, Home & Limits, "Reversed" to set proper Direction, "Check" or "X".

Try This, Chip

Hi, John

The dir stays low or hi depending on direction, the pulse length are settable as some control boards need more time to see the change of

state.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Drew

Under Config, Ports & Pins, Motor Tuning, change the state of "Dir / Step Low Active" to Check mark if X now, some stepper controls are sensitive to this.

If this doesn't help post more info on your stepper control and setup.

Hope this Helps, Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: Wrong working with Mach3.
« on: April 07, 2007, 12:06:35 AM »
Hi, Giordano

Your F speeds are set to F300, Have you try-ed slowing  it down.

When you setup Mach3 your Max Velocity and acceleration settings are based on F100, I think, I May be wrong about that ?.

Is your Mach Job finishing faster than the other. ?

All the holes seem to be in the center on Pre-cut view. ?

Hi, Shepard

I think you need to add/edit in a tool # "0",  N770 M6 T0 (TOOL Change), LC depending which ver. your running, even latest, still needs some work.

Hope this Helps, Chip
