General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 R3.00 back to Mach3 R2.63

Hi, Mike

Hears a couple comments Brian made.

Hello ,
I have taken 3.00 off the web... this version had a change that would
make files run MUCH faster BUT this is raising hell in Mach3...
The new 3.03xx revs seem to be testing well but there is still much more
Dev work that needs to be done..

If you are running 3.00 and you do not see a problem... I would run it,
it makes a much better drill cycle :) You will only have a problem with
that Rev if you are running brains and so on...

Thanks, Chip

Hi, Chris

Strait to the printer port hear, If you go direct make sure it's no more than 5 volt's to the port.

With some BOB & some Encoder's you may need a pull-up or pull-down resistor, Around a 1000 ohm's on the optical pickup side.

Thanks, Chip

Hi, Andrew

Post your Mach3Mill.XML file Make a copy of it and rename the copy to a different name, It's located In c:\Mach3\ folder.

Try loading the "Plasma" Session Profile, Is it the same ?

May be some wearied graphic problem in your laptop, Try screen Driver update in Windows, Control Panel.

Thanks, Chip

Hi, Chris

Sound's like your slot isn't wide enough and not giving Mach enough time to see the pulses.

On my lathe, 5 inch dia. disk  3/4" to 7/8" slot work's up to 3000 rpm.

Hope this Helps, Chip

Hi, Jeff

Check in your Config, Ports & Pins, Motor Tuning, Are the Step & Dir Low Actives all set the same ? Thy should be if the servo control's are the same.

Some control's are sensitive to this setting and will preform poorly. Set them the same and use Config, Home and Limits, "Reversed" to change Direction as

May Be It, Chip

Hi, Andrew

The only way I can seem to duplicate this is with the Scale setting  to -1.0 on the Y axis on Program Run screen and a Regen of Tool-path.

Still thinking on this.

Thanks, Chip

Hi, Jeff

Have you tried reducing Velocity and Acceleration Settings in Motor Tuning, Use G00 moves to set it up.

If I understand what your saying, Your at x0, y0 making positive moves and on return the machine is moving to a more negative position each time,

But Mach indicates x0 y0 home position ?

If your Velocity and Acceleration Settings are to close together, Decelerating to late and slipping past the x0 y0 position is possible.

Let us now, More info on your mill, ver of Mach3 (Under Help About), May Help.

Thanks, Chip
