Hi, Rc

Look at your dxf, It needs to be a single line segment I think.

Post one of them.

Hi, Art

Looks pretty nice, Seem's to load profiles easer.

When you get to the tool stuff.

I'd like to see an option that just cut's the profile whether it's inside or outside, That let's the User determine the cutter

shape/profile needed to clear the profile.

At this time with LC, It's pretty confusing and hard to get a complete profile to generate.

Thanks Art for All You Do, Chip

Hi, Ryan

I used your last drawings above, Loaded into Cad and selected with a window around the whole shape/drawing, then Edit, Copy, Then deleted the selected

items I'd just copied.

Then I could see the dup. lines and deleted then, Then Edit Paste put back items less the Dup. ones.

Loaded dxf into LC, cleaned & optimized and moved a couple lead-ins around, Set tool and Cut info , Posted to mach.

Hope this Helps, Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: Urgent - Threading not real time
« on: February 13, 2008, 01:59:12 AM »
Hi, Glen

Even if you have a good sharp clean pulse on your scope, Mach needs enough time to see the pulse change state.

On my emco compact 5 lathe the disk is 5 inch diameter with a 3/4 to 7/8 inch slot, good pulse up-to around 3000 rpm.

Mach has allot of things going on, Scanning for this index pulse is one of many.

Last week we had a similar problem with a index pules even with a 1 inch slot it wouldn't work, Turned out that the index pulse was going through an OPTO

coupler that was to slow to see and change it's state fast enough. Wound up using an input pin on the board that went direct to the printer port.

Set your "Index De-bounce" to 500 or so, The 'De-bounce Interval" is for Limit switches and such, It should be set to 500 to 2000, Switches bounce

sometimes, Both help to eliminate/see-through noisy wiring.

What's the disk diameter and Gap ?

Hope this Helps, Chip

General Mach Discussion / Re: pcdreh hardware all axes over 1 pinnumber
« on: February 12, 2008, 05:08:17 PM »
Hi, Rooijen

Yes, The only time you could combine Dir pins in Mach is to drive dual drives same axis, I've seen that done before.

Mach has options to do that in the program though.

Dose pin 1 on your control box connector go to 4 different locations on your axis driver  board ?

Mach uses 1 pin to control 1 axis direction so you can have up to 6 axies moving at the same time in different directions with each write pulse sent to the

printer port.

Thanks, Chip

Hi Rybot

Take a look at these files, I think you had some dup. lines.

Thanks, Chip
