Hi, Dzackman

Are you using the same tap file for the laser and the plasma ?

Have you checked your Steps Per unit ( Calibration ) in X & Y axises with a 20 inch move for accuracy ?

I'd also try running Mach3 in Sherline 1/2 Step Mode.

Are you using Backlash and have you checked for backlash on your axises ?

Just some initial thoughts, Chip

Hi, Rooney

Check that your 5 volt line isn't grounded on your system somewhere, We got to talking about other things.  ???

I had a similar issue like this awhile back where the 5 volts was pulled down to .5 volts, It didn't Kill the 5 volt (wall-wort) power supply.

Hi, Rooney

Change the Active Low state on your Ports & Pins, Inputs page and re check the wiring, try it again.

Edit: His 5 volt supply is out.

Hi, Danny

Set your Active Low setting to the same "State" as your Z,X in Ports & Pins, Motor Outputs page, See if that fixes it.

If there all the same (As thay should be), Then you may have a bad connection on the Y Dir Pin.

If your axis runs backwards, Use Home & Limits page "Reversed" box to change the Direction (This is the proper way to change it).

Hope this Helps, Chip

FAQs / Re: How to change Configuration?

Hi, Notselrach

It's probably the "Active Low" setting for your M3 CW Output pin setting, You should just need to change it's "State" I think.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: Galil PostProcessor

Hi, Aldemar

Not sure what your looking for, Lcam's post will work with Mach3 software with a Galil card's 3 axis, Is it your looking for 4th/5th... axis support, Any movement like that would require editing G code or a Cam package supporting additional axises.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: how to make tool path for 3-D dxf file
« on: August 09, 2009, 05:28:41 AM »
Hi, Oskie

LazyCam is a 2.5D Cam program, So any Z depth differences in your dxf can only be addressed by moving Chains to a new layer and setting a Z depth for individual Layers Chains, The best you could do is Edit in some Z moves into the G code file LC generates, It will not be very smooth and require allot of editing. .

To cut your dxf out as drawn will require a full 3D Cam program, It will pickup your Z moves as drawn.
