General Mach Discussion / Re: Tangential cutter

Ok, got it figured out, I think. You have to have your z lift equal to the depth of cut and the distance above your work that you want your head to prep.
Thanks

Is Mach4 going to have a tangential function. Mach3 was such a great program and yes the tangential part kind of came and now gone. Thanks for the help I'm going Bach thru the different versions now.
Thanks

The newest version of mach3 doesn't lift before prepping the head. It lifts and prepped at the same time. This was fixed in a earlier version but is back not working.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 running a Shark Pro Plus

Thanks for the reply. The controller my friend has is the ncpod with gecko 250's. The gecko 250 are mounted to the ncpod board. We are going to replace the ncpod with a gecko 540. Looks like the shark has little or no support which is a shame.
 Thanks again for the help

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 running a Shark Pro Plus

I'm trying to get a Shark pro plus running on Mach3 for a friend but haven't had any luck. I have download and installed the firmware update and the ncpod plugin but Mach does nothing. DRO don't even move. Is there a XML file or something else I'm missing.
Thanks
